The first time I climbed this Jura giant, although it’s small compared to the Alps, was on my Africa Twin XRV750…a motorbike. I still remember that I was a bit afraid when I looked up that small road on the respective Michelin street map, as it was marked with red dots, indicating a dangerous road. They probably used to mark it like that because of the steep slope.
Today I headed back to exactly that same road which starts in Anglefort and is one of the four incredibly beautiful, quiet, scenic, steep ways to conquer this mountain. I opted for the trekking bike as I had doubts of whether I would manage to ride up on my racer with 2 plateaus only. Roughly two hours after the start I was glad about the choice of my tool 😉
